AEW Men’s World Tag Team Championship
Kazuchika Okada and Konosuke Takeshita versus Brodido (c)

I’m glad I didn’t write this match too early because it just got a lot more interesting.
Konosuke Takeshita is now the IWGP World Heavyweight Champion in New Japan Pro Wrestling after defeating Zack Sabre Jr.
So this isn’t just Brodido, the AEW World Tag Team Champions, against the AEW Unified Champion and his partner in the Don Callis Family. It’s the AEW World Tag Team Champions against the AEW Unified Champion and the IWGP World Heavyweight Champion.
It’s tougher now more than ever to figure out who might get pinned in this match. Is it Okada? Is it Takeshita? Is it Brodido?
Having so many belts and high stakes is a good thing. Keeps you guessing. We’ve seen the tease between Okada and Takeshita disliking each other and fighting for attention in the Don Callis Family. Okada has been his usual ornery self thinking he’s above everyone and everything (Editor Note: because he is) meanwhile Konosuke Takeshita has been showing he can do things without the help of the Don Callis Family. Callis doesn’t take abandonment very well.
The conflict between these two great wrestlers unable to like each other but are so great they can win through it have to beat the babyface tag team champions who essentially win through the power of friendship. An odd couple team that somehow just fits. Oh, and just to throw a wrench into it? Bandido recently dislocated his shoulder in a match against Hechicero in CMLL but refuses to quit after.
You just know both Takeshita and Okada will be hungry to exploit that.
It’s going to be a very tough challenge for the AEW World Tag Team Champions, and if you want to see them beat the AEW Unified Champion and IWGP World Heavyweight Champion? You’re going to have to believe in the power of friendship to get it done.
