2 out of 3 Falls Match
Hologram versus The Beast Mortos

Good things comes to those who work hard.
All Elite Wrestling has had a bit of criticism about a lacking midcard. There’s a lot of top guys and upper carders and then a lot of lower cards but not too many in the smack middle. A strong midcard, like a strong middle class, is good for your economy. Dumb joke ignore it.
In the month of September nobody turned heads and put in the work quite like The Beast Mortos. I called him the MVP of AEW for the month of September. I said it was time to RELEASE THE BEAST and AEW listened. The Beast Mortos has now joined LFI, who on Tuesday’s Dynamite looks to have reformed under Jake “The Snake” Roberts. Roberts traded Lance Archer to the Don Callis Family for RUSH, and with RUSH comes La Faccion Ingobernable.
Beast Mortos had worked as a bit of a mercenary on the roster, temporarily joining everyone from Undisputed Kingdom to Shane Taylor Promotions. I will remember his time in Undisputed Kingdom forever for helping create Frank Mortos: Attorney at RAWR! As much fun as it was, it’s better for him to not be a comedy character and taken serious as a threat. The former Black Taurus isn’t some 24-year-old prospect with a ton of time to work with. He’s 37 just now getting his national TV break. Time is finite. Strike the iron now.
It feels like he could be replacing Preston Vance from LFI, or maybe Preston is still around? Who knows. Mortos joins RUSH and Dralistico it appears under Jake Roberts, who hopefully works as a dealmaker for the damage they plan to inflict on the AEW roster. That begins with Hologram.
When we first heard about Hologram there were a lot of theories. Was someone re-debuting? Brand new signing? The videos left a lot of mystery. It turned out to be luchador Aramis who was supposed to join All Elite Wrestling before the pandemic. He’s waited a while for this opportunity and has knocked it out of the park as must see AEW Collision TV. His debut during the Arlington residency helped the crowd to see him weekly and build a relationship with the crowd there.
Hologram did slip into the All Out Zero Hour but he has been mostly exclusive to Collision until this week when we defeated Komander on Dynamite. In an exciting match that reminded many of the days of WCW Lucha Cruiserweight matches (with one of the best spots I have seen all year) Jake Roberts walked on stage after Hologram’s victory only for LFI to come out and attack both men. Beast Mortos interestingly looked conflicted at first before putting his fist in.
Mortos has recently worked against Hologram twice, most recently a three way with Dralistico and the event at Jacksonville, Florida where Mortos and Matt Taven lost to Sammy Guevara and Hologram. Hologram is essentially undefeated in AEW which makes a match like this a definite challenge for The Beast Mortos.
And just to explain, it’s a two out of three falls match. You don’t win it until you get both falls. Hologram taking a fall in the match doesn’t mean he’s no longer undefeated.
Beast Mortos is one of the best bases in the business and Hologram has been fantastic in every outing he’s had in All Elite Wrestling. I’m glad both men are on the main card of WrestleDream here instead of relegated to a Zero Hour or not on the card at all. Reward hard work.
