Revolution 2025: Zero Hour
Trios Match
Orange Cassidy, Mark Briscoe, and Big Boom! A.J. versus Johnny TV and the MxM Collection

At Full Gear 2024, I was frustrated I couldn’t get rid of Q.T. Marshall. He just had to be a part of this match featuring TikTok celebrity Big Boom! A.J. on the Zero Hour show when I was originally promised he wouldn’t be wrestling in All Elite Wrestling again. I had to grit my teeth and put up with him doing his lowcard heel schtick and people acting like it was somehow refreshing to see someone do a mediocre version of every boring 90s heel wrestler amalgamated into a puddle of goop.
At World’s End I didn’t even get the Big Boom! Instead I just had to sit through Q.T. Marshall now facing Jeff Jarrett, another wrestler who went beyond his utility of just being a grizzled veteran doing well for himself with the occasional low card appearance and was now revving up an attempt to make people care about him going after the AEW Men’s World Championship. He already put his nose in Hangman Adam Page’s business and this Zero Hour match was going to be the beginning of his run towards the World Championship.
Thankfully, after a terrible performance against Claudio Castagnoli, we haven’t seen Jeff Jarrett since on AEW television. We also haven’t seen Q.T., who now only makes appearances at Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling in my city instead of terrorizing the undercard of AEW. But Big Boom A.J. is back which means he’s back on the Zero Hour to entertain the fans before the pay per view begins.
I still like Big Boom A.J. and I’m totally fine with this. It’s a bit disappointing that The Conglomeration, who has been in shambles since Orange Cassidy lost his title shot to Jon Moxley and Kyle O’Reilly left to rejoin his buds Roderick Strong and Adam Cole in Undisputed Kingdom, instead of being in a major program are relegated to the zero hour pre-show of the pay per view. Mark Briscoe had a great showing in the Continental Classic and Orange Cassidy is still one of the top babyface stars of AEW.
Surely, these guys should be doing something more than standing across the ring from an extremely well done Johnny TV and ROH comedy duo MxM Collection? They should. But if they are not in something? Might as well give them a good comedy match to heat the crowd up and remind everyone for free on YouTube that both men should be doing something more.
I don’t really have much to say about the heels here. I understand that MxM Collection is popular with some fans and I don’t want to step on their yum. It’s just not my entertainment. I’ve loved Johnny TV from when he was Johnny Mundo in Lucha Underground but that was a decade ago. He’s a veteran getting dangerously close to having to change the way he wrestles because at his age he just can’t bring that speed and athletic mixture anymore. He might need to take a hint like Shelton Benjamin did and bring an element of power to his act if he can.
I expect this to be a completely harmless and probably fun trios match to get the crowd going. Hopefully by Double or Nothing we see Mark Briscoe and Orange Cassidy doing more.
