I will be attending AEW All Out 2025. It will be my first AEW pay per view attended live since Revolution 2020 in Chicago, Illinois.
Thankfully we left on the Friday so getting to the show on time won’t be an issue. It would have been if we had to leave on Saturday.
I know a few people got upset with me for saying AEW was coward shit for moving the date. I still feel that way. A friend of mine has to drive four hours from North Bay to Toronto early in the morning just to get to the tailgate on time, had to get a hotel, and has to be back early enough on Sunday to get back to work. All for a silly wrestling show. I heard of someone who can’t go now because their VIA train ticket from Montreal is nonrefundable and they will be missing half the show if they still went.
For a lot of people they don’t care about this because this schedule change doesn’t matter to them. They will be at home enjoying it early.
I get it. Caring about even one person missing something as great as AEW live doesn’t mean anything to them, but as someone who covers AEW weekly? It matters to me. It will matter to me if this happens again at a show I’m not going to. It will matter to me every time.
If this is a one and done and AEW never changes the timeslot again to run from an event from a competitor? It’ll suck Toronto had to eat it but Toronto is strong enough to survive it. If this becomes the new norm, where they have to constantly move their timeslot to “maximize viewers” instead of just standing on the strength of their product? I don’t expect the good times to continue much longer. Eventually you just look sad.
We can put this to bed for now. All Elite Wrestling has had a really good run of television lately. I had issues with the residency in 2300 Arena but it had nothing to do with the quality of the shows. The shows were pretty good quality. September To Remember in London, Ontario? Quite possibly the best go home show that AEW has ever done. It ended perfectly with a go home segment between Hangman Adam Page and Kyle Fletcher instead of just a random match or doing a last minute push for a match that wouldn’t be main eventing.
I was critical about the build up to Forbidden Door but not here. This was AEW properly building up the show. This was AEW doing right to make every match they could be important. This was AEW overdelivering in a way only they can, and in a way New Japan Pro Wrestling used to a decade ago.
From All In Texas to All Out Toronto. AEW is not losing the magic.
AEW All Out 2025
Saturday Tailgate Brawl: All Out
Eight Wrestler Tag Team Tornado Tailgate Brawl
Megan Bayne, Penelope Ford, Julia Hart, and Skye Blue versus Harley Cameron, Mina Shirakawa, Queen Aminata, and Willow Nightingale

People are very excited for the idea of AEW doing a women’s Blood and Guts and I don’t blame them. They are doing a good job building feuds in the women’s division to allow it, and the women absolutely rule the roost for AEW when it comes to fun hardcore matches.
Of course, it looks like AEW isn’t doing Blood and Guts at all unless something gets announced soon. We usually have had Blood and Guts before September. Then again, we also usually have a show in the state of New York in September and that’s off the table for 2025 AEW. Odd.
When it comes to arenas that can properly handle a Blood and Guts not on a pay per view? What would be better than bringing it to Manchester, England at the Co-op Live? Just a suggestion.
Yet here we are. Eight women will face off in a tag team tornado tailgate brawl, which to me is just a silly name for what is essentially Anarchy in the Arena. You got Triangle of Madness without their point Thekla teaming with Megan Bayne and Penelope Ford against a squad of adorable dangerous babyfaces. Harley Cameron (who thinks she’s a cat apparently?), Mina Shirakawa (excess charisma), Queen Aminata (potentially injured?) and Willow Nightingale.
I think this kicks the show off right with a big wild brawl and ends with the babyfaces on top. Especially with what I think happens for the AEW Women’s World Championship later in the show.
Winner: Team Harley
Tag Team Match
Samoa Joe and Powerhouse Hobbs versus The Workhorsemen

My guess is Tony didn’t want to just slip a Trios Championship match on the pre-show again like he did last time but still wanted the Trios Champions on the show. I’m surprised they didn’t try to get HOOK into something since they’ve been teasing his return. Maybe that still happens here.
Love the opportunity for Workhorsemen here. Few teams have dealt with so many ridiculous physical setbacks on both members. Only want the best for those two.
This should be a fantastic match, but it’s also a sign to me that it’s time to get those Trios Championships off of The Opps. Lots of great heel teams that could actually defend the titles regularly. If these guys can’t be around for weekly TV to build a program for the pay per view? No sense having them wear the gold.
Winner: Samoa Joe and Powerhouse Hobbs
Singles Match
Daniel Garcia versus Katsuyori Shibata

It was odd for Daniel Garcia to turn on television instead of on pay per view, which makes me think they have a different plan for the match itself. Otherwise you’d think Moxley would win with an assistance from a turn heel Garcia, no? Instead Garcia turns now, and has to eat a beating from Katsuyori Shibata.
I for one am always happy when Shibata wrestles in AEW, so even if this match is low stakes? I am looking forward to seeing the transformation Daniel Garcia makes as a member of the Death Riders. They need to heat him up soon. They need him to drop some high profile babyfaces and not just his old friend Daddy Magic.
I’ll call this right now. I think Daniel Garcia tries to murder Daddy Magic, or someone, and we hear The Pixies and the return of Orange Cassidy. AEW loves the pre-show return.
Winner: Daniel Garcia
AEW All Out 2025
AEW Unified Championship
3 Way
Konosuke Takeshita versus Mascara Dorada versus Kazuchika Okada (c)

I think this match will be brilliant, but I don’t know if it progresses the Unified Championship quite like the win against Swerve Strickland.
I’m still mystified as to why Kazuchika Okada and Konosuke Takeshita don’t just face each other one on one. Okay, I get it for right now. Takeshita is the G1 Climax winner. You can’t have him losing to Okada clean right now (unless Okada will be facing Takeshita when he’s IWGP World Heavyweight Champion later? Doubtful) and you can’t have Okada losing the Unified Championship to Takeshita like this.
Of course, you can’t forget the third man in this with Máscara Dorada. Dorada is incredible, but he’s also likely a pin eater here so Takeshita isn’t losing clean to Okada. He’s losing, again, like he did last year, but he won’t be the man losing for it to happen.
These two have to be clashing one day. It won’t be Saturday, but it’s coming.
Winner: Kazuchika Okada
AEW World Tag Team Championship
4 Way Ladder Tag Match
The Young Bucks versus JetSpeed versus Hechicero and Josh Alexander versus Brodido (c)

It’ll be interesting to see if Toronto treats Josh Alexander like a local hero or not. Alexander grew up in Bolton, which is close enough to count as Toronto like Adam Copeland being from Orangeville. He gets billed from Toronto so that’s good enough.
Who will be cheered as a Canadian hero? Speedball Mike Bailey, who I’m sure will have a great videogame reference in his gear. Or maybe he just goes full Canada.
I’m not sure which direction the Young Bucks go as they have no real connection to Canada and they’ve gone from being broke to getting the money in the $500,000 match. Maybe they go big glitz and glamour with the exchange rate, or maybe they keep their money in America. I for one hope they wear the Founding Fathers gear again.
Finally you have the AEW World Tag Team Champions in Bandido and Brody King, who I think walk out tonight as champions still. It’s too early to try and take the gold from them I feel. Brody will be a great base for the high flyers and Bandido will probably be the best wrestler in the match.
Don’t sleep on Kevin Knight either, who will probably try to do something spectacular for attention in this match.
Oh, and watch out for the wizard in Hechicero. I’m sure Don Callis’ introduction for him is going to be ridiculous as usual. Please boo him Toronto. He’s from Winnipeg.
Winner: Brodido
Singles Match
Eddie Kingston versus Big Bill

Let’s hold off Eddie for a second.
I am happy for Big Bill. He deserves this moment. He deserves this spotlight. He’s been a great hand for AEW and someone who deserves more than he’s given. I feel like Eddie hand picked him no different to Bret Hart hand picking Steve Austin for his return.
Okay, I can’t hold off any longer.
The reaction for Eddie Kingston is going to be legendary.
I expect full heroes welcome for the Mad King.
The one true king of All Elite Wrestling.
It has definitely been on my mind as to what is going to happen when Eddie Kingston can be face to face with his old friend Jon Moxley and all of the destruction he’s caused. Does Eddie hate him? Does Eddie agree? It’s going to make for riveting television.
I think this match will be very good. Big Bill is a strong big man, the best big man in AEW since Brodie Lee. Eddie? Eddie is Eddie.
Long live the King.
Winner: Eddie Kingston
Trios Match
The Hurt Syndicate versus Ricochet and Gates of Agony

Bobby Lashley versus Toa Liona changed my perspective of this match.
Maybe the problem with Hurt Syndicate all along is they just want to bang with big boys?
Bobby Lashley was fantastic in his match against Toa, and Toa was incredible himself. The amount both men gave, it reminded me a lot of Powerhouse Hobbs versus Miro from All Out 2023.
If the Hurt Syndicate are going to give for their opponents this way then I’m fired up. Of course, there was also MVP manhandling Ricochet at September to Remember, but at least it happened after a cheap shot with the cane.
Ricochet is going to be a bit of an odd man out if Hurt Syndicate refuses to sell for him, and it’ll make me sick if MVP is getting over on him. That said, I love this for Gates of Agony, and I love this for Ricochet. A great opportunity to stand out as top heels. Remember when I said it’s time for The Opps to drop the Trios Champion? Here’s exactly who they need to drop to.
Winner: Ricochet and Gates of Agony
Coffin Match
Jon Moxley versus Darby Allin

My original feeling was that Jon Moxley was winning this. Moxley has been on a roll on television. He’s doing some of his best character work and in-ring work in his AEW tenure. I’ve loved Mox lately. Getting a big win on Darby Allin here would prolong Allin’s hope for revenge against the Death Riders and make him have to do a little more to earn it.
More importantly? I think this truly culminates at WrestleDream, especially after Darby had Bryan Danielson promise him he wouldn’t get involved. It makes sense at the one year anniversary of Danielson’s retirement as a full-time performer they do the culmination of this all. If they even end it there. Why end it when Jon Moxley is launching his second assault? He’s rebuilding his army. He’s going to come back at the throat of All Elite Wrestling. He took out Will Ospreay to make that clear.
But I realized when writing about Daniel Garcia that if the plan was for Jon to win? It would be due to a big heel turn of Daniel Garcia. They instead made that on TV, and I think that’s because Darby is taking his first major one on one match as a victory. What the Death Riders try to do to Bryan Danielson will build into the next match for them to bring this to a head at WrestleDream.
The match itself? I can’t wait. I’ve missed Darby Allin going for it, and Jon Moxley is at the top of his game. This could be the best match you see tonight.
Winner: Darby Allin
Tables and Tacks Match
Mark Briscoe versus Maxwell Jacob Friedman

I don’t see this being a good week for Maxwell Jacob Friedman.
He’s had to finally meet the consequences of his actions. He lost to Hangman Adam Page but got to retrieve his Instashot (now with one week delay). He has to face Mistico in a Mask versus Title match, and I doubt he survives that (I won’t be able to update this before the match) and then he faces Mark Briscoe in a Tables and Tacks match.
I don’t know why Mark decided on the tacks, but this is a major match for him. If Mark Briscoe loses this? Everything MJF said about him is right. All of Maxwell’s hate and ignorance will go unpunished. Mark needs this win more than MJF ever will.
But MJF can use it as well. MJF just winning everything isn’t interesting. MJF backed into a corner and feeling like he has no choice but to lash out to get back to winning ways? That’s interesting to me. The most dangerous MJF is one who can’t pretend he controls his destiny.
Winner: Mark Briscoe
Tag Team Match
Christian Cage and Adam Copeland versus FTR

Cash, Dax, and Cope have been probably planning this match for 15 years now.
It’s do or die time. Who knows how long Adam Copeland has for an in-ring career? Now is the time to finally have that big dream match. Cope, Christian, and FTR. One ring. All the time in the world to perform. All the time to craft and engineer the greatest tag team match they can possibly come up with.
Having so many smart men to build a match has its advantages and disadvantages. The advantage is that they know every trick in the book. The disadvantage is they may outsmart themselves in doing too much to “explain the logic” of everything they try to do. It may also lead to one too many references or call backs, which is another common danger of smart wrestlers.
Cash and Dax mentioning DIY from their NXT Takeover: Toronto match makes me pretty sure those references and callbacks are going to fly, but I’m hoping they show a little restraint.
It’s going to be difficult, but if they do? We could be watching a match of the year candidate in Toronto.
FTR will be AEW World Tag Team Champions soon, but they can eat a loss right here. Toronto needs a big win. Lord knows the Maple Leafs will never provide it.
Sorry. Not sorry. Go Jays? Go Rock? Go Sceptres? Go Raptors? Go Argos? Go TFC? Go Tempo in 2026? Are we good? Good.
Winner: Christian Cage and Adam Copeland
TBS Championship
Riho versus Mercedes Moné (c)

There’s nothing I would love more than for Riho to win here.
It would make sense too. Moné gets shocked by the first AEW Women’s World Championship, making her feel cursed to that belt. No matter how many belts she wins she can’t shake the fact she can’t win that big one.
It allows all of the heels in AEW a target in Riho, and Riho will be game for those matches. It would also make her the first to win both the Women’s World Championship and TBS Championship.
Unfortunately, I think Moné keeps the gold here. I say unfortunately but she’s been a fantastic champion. So many great matches. AEW is lucky to have her. She’s one of the top stars on the show and I expect this match to be incredible. I just think it might be a little long in the tooth.
Winner: Mercedes Moné
AEW Women’s World Championship
4 Way
Jamie Hayter versus Kris Statlander versus Thekla versus Timeless Toni Storm (c)

Is this the end of the road for Timeless Toni Storm?
What does she have left to accomplish? She defeated the TBS Champion Mercedes Moné at All In Texas and the ROH Women’s World Champion Athena at Forbidden Door. There’s nowhere really left to go in this incredible title reign.
Having this four way challenge is basically begging for someone to win due to the stakes being so high, and it’s almost as though she wants the challenge. She doesn’t have a Mariah May anymore to focus on. She needs new stories. And if it’s true AEW is ready to launch a Women’s Tag Team division? You need a star to help rise it in importance. Having Toni Storm in that might be more important than keeping her Women’s World Champion.
That then brings us to the contenders. Who makes the most sense?
Let’s start with Jamie Hayter. Hayter has built herself up as the one with the most history. She lost her title to Toni years back. This is her first big chance back at the title.
Then you have Thekla. No real history with Toni but she’s fresh with Triangle of Madness and has been a fantastic presence on the women’s roster. Having her win would be a big statement. She’s also the only obvious heel in the match.
And finally… Kris. Good ol’ Kris Statlander. Kris doesn’t have true history with Timeless Toni, but she has been away from the title since 2021. She also has been dealing with the Death Riders constantly getting in her business, specifically Wheeler Yuta. There has to be a follow through.
Kris Statlander joining Death Riders as the new AEW Women’s World Champion to set the division on fire the way Jon Moxley did it to the men? Set up Willow Nightingale, Toni Storm, Jamie Hayter, and more to chase Kris?
It’s time. Death Rider Stat.
Winner and NEW AEW Women’s World Champion: Kris Statlander
AEW Men’s World Championship
TNT Champion Kyle Fletcher versus Hangman Adam Page (c)

This match will be absolutely great. Match of the year candidate. I have no doubt in my mind.
But what it means for AEW in the future is more important than what happens in the match itself.
This is a chance for Kyle Fletcher to show, like Hangman in 2019 and MJF in 2020, at All Out each for them as well, that this is the night that will set Fletcher on the trajectory to future AEW Men’s World Champion.
Forget the stipulation. Okay, let me remind then you can forget. If anyone from the Don Callis Family interferes then Kyle Fletcher loses the TNT Championship.
Okay, forget it now. That’s not the point. The point is that Page is pushing Kyle Fletcher to show he has something more than the heel tactics he leans on. He’s more than just a Don Callis crony. He’s one of the best wrestlers alive without it.
More importantly? Hangman is trying to stop Fletcher from becoming another Maxwell Jacob Friedman. There was a chance Hangman could have been that himself. When he was in Bullet Club? He could have been Fletcher. He could have been the young guy using every advantage in his book to get to the top. He didn’t. He went up the hard way.
That’s why Hiroshi Tanahashi saw so much in Page.
Now? It’s Page seeing that in Fletcher. Or at least giving him the opportunity to see more in himself.
It may feel like failure to Kyle Fletcher if he loses, but if he loses the right way? He will still be TNT Champion. He will have the first AEW pay per view to his name. And he will be on the path to greatness soon enough.
As for Hangman Adam Page? He will once again prove he’s the protagonist of the story of AEW, even when creating a future protagonist to follow in a future chapter.
The storytellers always win in the end.
Winner: Hangman Adam Page
In the words of Ian Riccaboni? Happy Wrestling everyone.
