I’m writing this on Thursday night with a train to catch on Friday morning so I apologize if I’m not as detailed on this predictions as I have been in the past. It isn’t due to a disinterest in the product. As I said in Peace in Turmoil Time I think All Elite Wrestling has been an excellent product since All In Texas. It just doesn’t feel as exciting when there isn’t some silly controversy for everyone to get mad about or some bad booking to anger people.
If what I think happens does happen (the returns of MJF and Cope/Cage) there will be plenty for people to cry about and scream THE GOOD TIMES ARE OVER like they swallowed a bug. World’s End can be that fun combination of people screaming IT’S OVER while also being excited about the final for the Women’s World Tag Team Championship and the Continental Classic.
I loved Blood and Guts and doing Blood and Guts so close to Full Gear isn’t an easy task. I think they did a good enough job allowing storylines to still move forward while also building up the Blood and Guts matches and executing on them.
Anyway, onto the Saturday Tailgate Brawl and Full Gear.
Saturday Tailgate Brawl
Tag Team Match
Boom and Doom versus RPG Vice

I will not write more than one sentence on a match involving QT Marshall.
Winner: RPG Vice
$200,000 Tailgate Brawl 4-Way
The Acclaimed versus Big Bill and Bryan Keith versus The Outrunners versus Bang Bang Gang

It’s nice to showcase the strength of the AEW Men’s Tag Team division and get these guys something to do but boy I would have loved something else in this spot. Then again I feel like they did this to basically say, “Hey, all these guys? They won’t be in the Casino Gauntlet for the National Championship” so maybe this is a good thing overall. Even if I would have loved to see Juice Robinson and Big Bill in that.
The only tag team in this match with an ongoing story is Anthony Bowens and Max Caster. It’s the worst story going in AEW but Tony Khan is not going to give up on one of the first tag teams he personally formed. This is likely their first win together. If Billy Gunn comes out to celebrate with them I’ll be shutting off the feed until Full Gear starts.
Winner: The Acclaimed
Tag Team Match
Eddie Kingston and Hook versus The Workhorsemen

I’m happy to see Workhorsemen healthy and getting this match. I love JD Drake and love any shot he gets at an opportunity. I do wish Eddie Kingston was doing more than babysitting Hook. Maybe he needs the time to shake off the rust (that’s basically the story he’s been telling) but we’ve been deprived of A+ Eddie and A+ Eddie promos.
I won’t go on a rant about Hook (I promise I’ll do it another time) but I saw a tweet the other day about why doesn’t AEW just push a guy on TV like they did Kyle Fletcher. Actually, they have. His name is Hook, and unlike Fletcher? He hasn’t improved a single percentage with all of that TV time.
Winner: Eddie Kingston and Hook
CMLL World Trios Championship
Don Callis Family versus El Sky Team (c)

I’ve heard people complain that the trios champions of CMLL are delegated to the Saturday Tailgate Brawl. Same to Konosuke Takeshita, Kazuchika Okada, and Hechicero. I don’t really understand why people complain about this. While Okada and Takeshita is a major story in the company, this is a trios championship match for a title outside the company. It’s not really PPV worthy to bump off say the women’s tag team 4-way, which is to essentially advertise the new Women’s Tag Team Championship before the titles are crowned, or Darby Allin and PAC, which is going to be just as great as this.
AEW is in no obligation to put CMLL talent on their pay per view, and it’s not like CMLL needs it either. They are already the best wrestling promotion in the world. They got Pokémon for Pika sakes! Whether you pay for it through having an HBO Max subscription or pay for it by ordering the pay per view, it’s still a match on the card.
I bet this will be an absolutely incredible match as Mascara Dorada at 23 has already shown he can have incredible chemistry with Kazuchika Okada. Mistico is his usual great self, and Neon will have his first proper match in All Elite Wrestling. He had an incredible encounter with Hologram in Mexico back in June, as well as defeating Kevin Knight on a CMLL/AEW/NJPW combined show also in June for Fantastica Mania.
And if you’re complaining it means you have to get to the show early? Yeah, I had to deal with All Out Toronto starting in the early afternoon. You know, the thing everyone said wasn’t to avoid WWE and be coward shit but just because it was the better timeslot for global fans and to get the show done early? Yet AEW hasn’t done again since? Suck it up. No simpy for you.
I expect this match to break down due to Okada and Takeshita leading to El Sky Team winning. Kyle Fletcher maybe has to come down to break the two up, and that leads to complications for his match later in the night.
Winner: El Sky Team
Full Gear 2025

Singles Match
PAC versus Darby Allin

I have really loved PAC’s return to All Elite Wrestling. From the new look to the new attitude? We might be getting the best PAC we’ve ever seen in the company. He’s the perfect guy to face Darby Allin now that he’s finally beaten Jon Moxley.
So perfect in fact? I’m going to go ahead and predict he wins this match. That can set the two up for something at World’s End to keep Darby occupied before he can go back to trying to become AEW Men’s World Champion.
This could absolutely be the match of the night if these two men end up doing everything I think they are capable of.
Winner: PAC
$1,000,000 Match
Kenny Omega and Jurassic Express versus Josh Alexander and The Young Bucks

AEW has done a lot to tell us that the Young Bucks are not happy just joining the Don Callis Family, and their heart really isn’t in this feud with Kenny Omega anymore. They just can’t use their words.
Don Callis got them into this by enticing them with a one million dollar stipulation. I don’t think that ends up being enough to motivate them into beating Kenny Omega and Jurassic Express.
I feel like once the Bucks and Josh Alexander end up losing? Don Callis Family will turn on the Young Bucks, leading to Kenny Omega and Jurassic Express having to save bitter enemies. It won’t immediately lead to a reunion, but it’ll eventually be the return of The Elite.
For some this might be AEW just replaying the hits, but if Kenny doesn’t have that much time left for his wrestling career, and he can’t do Golden Lovers? Best to get him back with the Bucks. Wouldn’t you want to see Kenny and the Bucks take on The Opps for the Trios Championship? I know I would.
And also don’t sleep on Josh Alexander in this match. The Walking Weapon is an absolute beast, and I expect his interactions with Kenny in the ring to be explosive. We really need a singles match between the two before the end of the year.
As for Jurassic Express? They should use the money earned to move themselves into a top spot in the tag ranks and face whoever comes out with the tag titles.
Winners: Kenny Omega and Jurassic Express
Casino Gauntlet Match
To Determine The First AEW National Champion

Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin are the first two entrants in the match, which might mean we get to see the two members of Hurt Syndicate hurt each other. Fun way to get things started I guess. Really makes me think they have something in their deal to get advertised PPV matches no matter what.
In my match preview I named the five guys I really wanted to see win this. It was Ricochet, Orange Cassidy, Eddie Kingston, Powerhouse Hobbs, and Kazuchika Okada. All five would be good choices.
I gotta go with my first pick. Ricochet just works. It made no sense for him to never face Hangman Adam Page for the AEW Men’s World Championship, and I feel like it was because they were holding him off for this. Ricochet would have no problem taking the National Championship all around the world to represent AEW in other companies. He fits the style for CMLL, he has experience in NJPW, and he’d look like a big star in Ring of Honor. He’s a great choice for this.
Also, if a heel is no longer TNT Champion? Good to make a heel the first National Champion.
Winner and NEW National Champion: Ricochet
AEW Men’s World Tag Team Championship
FTR versus Brodido (c)

I would love, absolutely love, to see Brodido beat FTR here. It would be a nice moment and really solidfy them as a top tag team in All Elite Wrestling.
I just don’t see it happening.
FTR has done such great work as heels and it’s time to pay the piper. There’s so many great tag teams on the babyface side right now that deserve pay per view title shots and who better than to face FTR to get it done. JetSpeed, Jurassic Express, maybe even the Young Bucks down the road. We also will probably see the return of Cope and Cage, who will want revenge for their loss at All Out Toronto.
Either way, don’t feel too sad for Brodido. If anything? AEW should really consider elevating both men going forward. Bandido needs to drop the ROH Men’s World Championship and focus entirely on top gold in the company. As for Brody King? The top of the card needs size and he’s perfect to provide it. I would really love a feud between him and Powerhouse Hobbs soon.
Winner and NEW Men’s World Tag Team Champions: FTR
TNT Championship
Mark Briscoe versus Kyle Fletcher (c)

Mark Briscoe must join the Don Callis Family if he loses. It’s a funny stipulation and could lead to a heel Mark Briscoe, but I just don’t see it. I think AEW wants to keep the eight defences as the peak for the title right now, and having Mark win it finally pays off his big win against Maxwell Jacob Friedman back at All Out Toronto.
2026 can be the year of Kyle Fletcher, a new focus on him becoming AEW Men’s World Champion in due time. He may also be re-entering the Continental Classic. You know, it would be real interesting if he does, and Konosuke Takeshita does as well, and Takeshita has to get through Kyle Fletcher to get to Kazuchika Okada in the final. Something to consider.
Winner and NEW TNT Champion: Mark Briscoe
No Holds Barred
Kyle O’Reilly versus Jon Moxley

I’m going to go against the grain on this one and say this isn’t about making Kyle O’Reilly a new babyface star and planting the seeds for a Death Rider breakup. I might end up wrong and I’m not seeing the obvious angle in front of me, but I really think we could instead see this be a moment where Jon Moxley gets his groove back and uses KOR as his lamb to the slaughter. KOR might have Mox’s number on his ankle, but no holds barred means there’s a thousand ways Jon Moxley can survive this without following the rules.
Big win by Jon Moxley, and maybe a declaration to enter the Continental Classic.
Winner: Jon Moxley
4-Way Tag
Marina Shafir and Megan Bayne versus Toni Storm and Mina Shirakawa versus Babes of Wrath versus Sisters of Sin

I explained that I think this is perfect for a heel to win, because the winning team gets to select the stipulation. I don’t think selecting the stipulation is an instant win scenario. Instead, it’s the perfect thing for a babyface team to have to overcome. I can see Sisters of Sin or Bayne and Shafir winning, and I’m going with Shafir and Bayne.
Sisters of Sin could win and then do a stipulation like the old House of Black House Rules to stack the deck against Willow and Harley as the Babes of Wrath, and give themselves an advantage to the final. However, I see this as Megan Bayne and Marina Shafir winning and then using the stipulation that plays into Blood and Guts finish, something like a submission match where Toni might now be the one being forced to tap and Mina has to stop it. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Mina or Toni pinned to get to this too.
Winner: Marina Shafir and Megan Bayne
AEW Women’s World Championship
Mercedes Moné versus Kris Statlander (c)

It is in my opinion that Mercedes Moné, much like Kazuchika Okada, can hold absolutely any title in the world except the AEW World Championship. That is, until they turn babyface.
So that should give my prediction to this away. So long as Moné is still top heel? She will never touch that AEW Women’s World Championship. Kris Statlander absolutely needs this win more than Mercedes needs to add another piece of gold to her wheelbarrow, and it’s Mercedes doing her part, much like Bryan Danielson did to Hangman Adam Page on his first reign before her, to be a veteran and put over the champion big in her first title reign.
Looking forward, I think Blood and Guts told us exactly who would be the best choice for Kris Statlander’s next opponent and that’s Megan Bayne. Hopefully they have enough time to set that up for World’s End. Otherwise? Pocket it for Revolution.
Winner: Kris Statlander
AEW Men’s World Championship
Steel Cage Match
Samoa Joe versus Hangman Adam Page (c)

I found it interesting that in the build up to this? It’s been nothing but Adam Page wins. Typical booking would do that for someone about to lose their title. I don’t know if it happens here. Page’s line at the end of the preview that he’d get father time before it could get Samoa Joe? That feels like the most inevitable outcome. I think Joe is here doing the heavy work of a veteran to make Hangman look like the top guy in the company. He’s doing the right thing as a veteran with maybe one or two more years left in him. This loss allows him and The Opps to focus on the Trios Championship instead after he’s ultimately defeated.
Most eyes are on what happens next, and with talk that Maxwell Jacob Friedman is returning? You have to figure he will want to cash in that shot on Hangman for World’s End.
Winner: Hangman Adam Page
In the words of Ian Riccaboni? Happy Wrestling everyone.
