AEW World Tag Team Championship
4-Way
Kings of the Black Throne versus The Acclaimed versus The Outrunners versus Private Party (c)

If you think I have a bit of an obsession with fixing the AEW World Tag Team Championship division?I would have a hard time defending myself.
At the end of August I laid out the levels in the tag division and pushed for The Outrunners.
I have pushed for the reunion of Jurassic Express (get well soon Luchasaurus) and Aussie Open.
I have suggested for Adam Cole to look into reforming Future Shock with Kyle O’Reilly and for Powerhouse Hobbs to form a Fire & Ice tag team.
I also pushed for the breakup of The Acclaimed to take them out of the tag team division.
But the one thing I should get back to is crediting AEW for finally trying to make a new tag team by putting the titles on Private Party. I did say the Party Just Begun and that’s because there’s still a lot of work to be done to establish Private Party.
Unless the company pulls a 180 and takes the titles off of them so fast they don’t really gain anything from it I expect that once this run is done they will be considered a 2A tag team in the division. It would be nice if they reached the heights of FTR and the Young Bucks but I doubt they get that high. Just having a firmly established team with credibility you can go to in the coming years will be great for the tag team division.
To set up their first big defence since defeating The Young Bucks, AEW set up a four way tag match at Full Gear.
The Outrunners won their spot by defeating Top Flight on AEW Collision two weeks ago.
Kings of the Black Throne won their spot defeating FTR on AEW Dynamite last week.
The Acclaimed won their spot by defeating La Faccion Ingobernable on AEW Collision last week.
It was surprising that LFI and FTR lost their matches. I would have much preferred to see Rush and The Beast Mortos win their match to give a fresh team a shot and I didn’t think Kings of the Black Throne had much gas behind them to go after the AEW World Tag Team Championship. FTR always find a way to put themselves into the mix so I just figured they’d get in somehow.
The stories going into this match from what I can gather is that The Outrunners just accomplished getting a title shot instead of their buddies FTR. I don’t know what this means for The FTRunners but I’ve already said The Outrunners better not try and trust them. Eventually this success by The Ourtunners is going to get to FTR.
Kings of the Black Throne… listen I would love to see Brody King win gold in AEW but I doubt it happens here. Maybe I should just be glad he’s getting on a pay per view again but they certainly haven’t really found a place for him. He’s the best big man in the company at this point, right beside Claudio. He needs more to do.
The Acclaimed have been building a story about the idea of them eventually splitting up due to Anthony Bowens being tired of Max Caster’s antics as well as The Hurt Syndicate looking interested in their services. I figure that comes into play in this match as to why they don’t regain the AEW World Tag Team Championship.
This leaves Private Party. For Private Party they don’t really have a story yet and they need one. I wanted LFI in this match because I think that should be one of the feuds going forward for Private Party but they will have to earn a tag title shot another day. This match might have people in it with stories but the end of this has to be about nobody except Private Party proving they are the best tag team in the company.
I’ve had a lot of ideas on how AEW can improve the division, who to add, who to take out, etc. but it’s now time to put in the work with the people there right now. Big night for the tag division at Full Gear. Make it count.
